The Everest or Khumbu region of Nepal is widely acknowledged for comprising of world's towering snow-capped mountains – Mt. Everest 8848m, Mt. Lhotse 8516m, Mt. Makalu 8481m and Mt. Cho Oyu 8201m rising high above the sea level without any intervention. The proliferation of comfortable teahouses and well-maintained trails accommodates tens of thousands of trekkers from around the globe each year. The Everest region fans out into a series of impressive glacier-filled valleys above the main trading center of Namche Bazaar - also known as ' The Sherpa Capital '. The eastern side of the region includes the main trail to Everest Base Camp and the viewpoint of Kala Patthar at 5545 meters. Hence, Everest Base Camp Trekking is an excellent opportunity for trekkers who want to experience the culture and traditions of warm and friendly Sherpa locals while exploring the region's rich resources.

Everest Base Camp Trekking with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition starts with a scenic mountain flight to Lukla - the starting point of the trek. Lukla is the gateway to entire Everest and Khumbu region of Nepal. The trails along the Everest Base Camp rises soundly above 5000 meters from the sea level. Trekking in the high altitude give briths to unexpected high altitude sickness, hence trekking slow and in a steady pace would be a perfect solution in such conditions appear. We recommend trekkers to maintain physical fitness (jogging, cycling, swimming etc) prior to couple of day before the actual trekking date. High mountaineering skills are not required for this trek however previous trekking experience is a merit for Everest Base Camp Trekking.
  • Classified as the best season for Everest Base Camp Trekking are:3 months in Spring ( March, April, May) & 3 months in Autumn (September, October, November)
  • Above mentioned months are considered as the best season for Everest Base Camp Trekking. Clear weather allows trekkers to enjoy the best mountain sceneries while getting the absolute best trekking experience. For trekkers who prefer trekking in less crowdy time of the year – December, January and February is probably the best time for trekking in the Everest region. Categorised as the monsoon season (June, July and August) is highly affected by rain and therefore is no good for trekking.
