Day 1: Sightseeing at Kathmandu and Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square is rich in monuments and architecture. You can see various sculptures, monuments and temples around the area. It has Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Mandir, Hanuman Temple, Royal Palace and Kal Bhairab temple in its vicinity. Hanuman Dhoka was the formerly Royal Palace of the Malla kings which was later passed onto the Shah dynasty. You can visit Kumari Ghar at Basantapur where you can see living goddess of Nepal.
On the other hand, Bhaktapur is popular for its religious, culture and historical heritage You can see Five storied temple, Bhaktapur durbar Square, Changunarayan temple, 55 Windows Durbar, Dattatraya area and Siddhapokhari. You can enjoy popular and tasty Juju Dhau (King of Sweet Curd) and watch making of clay pots and wood carving artistry.
Day 1: Sightseeing at Swoyambu
Next, you will drive to Swoyambu Nath Stupa, which is also popularly known as Monkey temple. From name it is clear that you will find a lot monkeys at temple. Swoyambhu Nath has religious importance for both Buddhist and Hindus. You can visit Hindu temples Harati temple and Saraswati temple and see Buddhist shrines and stupas. It offers majestic view of entire Kathmandu Valley. You will have lunch here.

Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. You can see Tibetan monasteries around it and explore stupa built in Buddhist style. Bouddhanath Stupa is made in Chaitanya style and the atmosphere around the place is lightened up with the fragrance of incense. You can see monks chanting and hear sound prayer wheels. You can stroll around and see Tibetan stupas and taste their cuisine as well.
