It is one of the best places for the sunrise, sunset and Mountain View. It is 32 km far from Katmandu and one hour drive through the windy road situated at 2175 meter from the sea level. Nagarkot is magnificent place to view the panorama of major peaks of eastern Himalayan ranges including Mt. Everest on clear days.

The main attractive monuments are Nyatapola Temple, statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, Peacock Window, Golden Gate and fifty-five windowed palace of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
