Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival

Pass By: Tribhuvan International Airport, Ring Rd, काठमाडौँ 44600, Nepal
While entering the border of Nepal, you will be welcomed with plain Terai and everlasting green hills. The Himalayas at the horizon will be smiling over your arrival in Nepal. After clearing custom, you are welcomed by our representative and transfer to hotel as assigned.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Stop At: Pashupatinath Temple, Pashupati Nath Road, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Pashupatinath Temple is a masterpiece architecture believed to be built dated 400 AD. The 2 storied temple and its surrounding monuments are decorated with ancient paintings and sculptures. Even though non-Hindu are forbidden to enter at the main temple, you can still stroll around. If you are lucky, observe open-air cremation at the bank of holy Bagmati River

Stop At: Boudhanath Stupa, Boudh Boudha, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Boudhanath Stupa, one of the holiest places on earth. This is the biggest stupa in Nepal. The alternated forms of circles and squares in the stupa represent 3-dimensional mandala. The prayer wheels are itched with mantra of Avalokiteshvara - Om Mani Padme Hum. You stroll clockwise along with other devotees. Explore the area while listening soothing mantra.

Stop At: Swayambhunath Temple, Swayamhu Circle Road, Kathmandu 44620 Nepal
Swayambhu also called the Monkey Temple is the oldest Buddhist shrine perched at the top of the western hill of Kathmandu Valley. The shrine is adorned with colorful prayer flags and prayer wheels. The troop of monkeys laying carefree at the premise is another feat to observe. The view of Kathmandu valley is beautiful from the top.

Stop At: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Kathmandu Durbar Square is a representation of medieval history. The intricate wood carving and artistic architectures never fail to impress first travellers. You can see ancient architecture blends with modern crafts. This is the best opportunity to see how social daily life interact in traditional way of life.

Day 3: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara

Pass By: Chandragiri Hills, Thankot, Kathmandu 44619 Nepal
After having breakfast, we drive to Pokhara. Driving to Pokhara is like escaping from concrete jungle and entering to amazingly beautiful mountainscape. The Trishuli River and Marshyangdi River flow side by side to the highway. The mountain villages and small locale market on the way excites your journey to Pokhara. The surrounding hills are always there to distract you from falling sleep.

Day 4: Drive Pokhara to Galeshwor. Trek to Bas Kharka

Pass By: Galeshwor Mahadev Temple, Unnamed Road, पोखरा 33700, Nepal
Exiting from Pokhara, the smooth road turns to bumpy and rocky one. Enroute to Galeshwor via Beni, you can see pristine green sloped backdrop. At Galeshwor, we stop for Lunch.

From Galeshwor, our amazing trek starts crossing the suspension bridge over the Kaligandaki River. The trek to Bas Kharka is uphill climb over the stone steps. The hike continues to orange grooves through small villages. Bas Kharka is a beautiful Magar village. If you have enough time, you can explore the village, local school and health post.

Day 5: Trek Bas Kharka to Nangi

Pass By: Annapurna Mountain Range, 33500 Nepal
Having breakfast, we trek toward Nangi; our next stopover. Enroute, there is a place called Danda Kaske (2009m) where we stop for our Lunch. The local people are very enthusiastic and friendly to every travellers. Having some friendly chatters increase mutual bonding with locals.

The onward journey to Nangi is a short beautiful walk. You can see the stunningly beautiful close view of Nilgiri and Mt Dhaulagiri (8,167m), the 7th highest mountain in the world. Nangi is the main Magar village. The projects for empowering women are carried out in this village. You may visit local cottage industry of paper factory which uses eco-friendly local resources called Lokta and other incoming generating projects.

Day 6: Trek Nangi to Mohare Danda

Pass By: Annapurna Mountain Range, 33500 Nepal
Our trek starts with uphill climb through beautiful pristine forest of Oak, Bamboo and Rhododendron. At the backdrop, we can see stunning view of mountain range stretching as far as the eye can see. The close-up view of Mt Machhapuchre (Mt Fishtail) and Mt Dhaulagiri excite your journey even more.

While passing through forest to Mohare Danda, you might encounter yak grazing in the meadow alongside mountain view at the horizon. At Mohare Danda, there is the highest Wireless Internet Relay Station, providing free internet to remote villages. There facility has greatly helped health sector as the local health post can directly interlinked with the major hospitals of Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Day 7: Trek Mohare Danda to Ghorepani

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
Wake up early in the morning for the beautiful sunrise. Trek along the ridge and enter the Rhododendron forest. The trail continuous upto Poonhill and we enter to Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. Poonhill is the most famous viewing spot for sunrise. The stunning view of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, and Dhaulagiri can be seen. We trek down to Ghorepani.

Day 8: Trek Ghorepani to Dobato

Stop At: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
If interested, you can hike up to Poonhill for the sunrise view early in the morning. After breakfast, we trek to Deurali from where our journey split toward Dobato. The trail passes through Rhododendron and Oak forest. Today, we reach the highest point of this trek, Muldai View Point (3,637m). We trek down for 20 minutes and reach Dobato.

Dobato is a small seasonal settlement where people from Ghandruk, Chuile & Tadapani comes. They operate their business during trekking season only. You have the closer view of Annapurna South and Hiuchuli. After some rest, we hike for 30 minutes to Muldai View Point for one of the most awesome sunset view during this trip. The stunning view of Annapurna South along with more than 18 mountains can be seen. The two viewing spots Mohare Danda and Poonhill are seen below the Muldai view point.

Day 9: Trek Dobato to Ghandruk

Pass By: Old Gurung Museum, 5 Kaski, Ghandruk Nepal
If you are interested in Sunrise from Muldai View Point, we can again hike and return for Breakfast. After breakfast, we trek gradually toward Tadapani. The trail is quiet and silent. There is less chance to meet people on the way. We have out Lunch at Tadapani. Tadapani is one of the busy settlements in Annapurna Region as the trail split for Annnapurna Base Camp.

After Lunch, we trek to Ghandruk. The trail descends and passes through sparse forest before reaching Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a Gurung settlement known for its cultural beauty. It is one of the most beautiful village in South Asia.

Day 10: : Trek to Nayapul. Drive to Pokhara

Pass By: Nayapul Trekking Starting Point, Baglung Rajmarg, Salyan 33400, Nepal
After breakfast, we descend to Nayapul where our vehicle awaits. Onward journey, we drive back to Pokhara while enjoying natural landscape and scenery.

Day 11: Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu

Pass By: Chandragiri Hills, Thankot, Kathmandu 44619 Nepal
After breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu retracing the same route while enjoying natural landscape and scenery.

Day 12: Departure

Pass By: Tribhuvan International Airport, Ring Rd, काठमाडौँ 44600, Nepal
Enjoy your final day at Kathmandu. Free till final departure. Transfer to airport 3 hours prior to the flight scheduled.

  • The accommodation at Kathmandu and Pokhara will be on a star category hotel and during the trek will be on basic community lodge or Community Homestay. The room will be on sharing basis. The washroom (toilet) during trek is Squat toilet and used as sharing one. Most of the place in trek don’t offer showering option too. Although Single Supplement will be provided on request, it will be difficult to get the single room with the increase in the elevation. During peak season, there will be problem of accommodation, we suggest you carry your own sleeping bags too
  • Permits required during this 16 Days Kathmandu Annapurna Eco Community Trek are; 1. Sightseeing permits required in Kathmandu 2. ACAP permit 3. TIMS card
  • At Kathmandu and Pokhara, Breakfast will be served to the guest while Lunch and Dinner must be managed by self. At the same time, it is the best chance to explore Nepali style food in Nepali Restaurants. Lunch & Breakfast can also be arranged on request. The meal during the Annapurna Eco Community Trek will be simple and authentic Nepalese style. The breakfast and the dinner will be served at the lodge where you are staying overnight, and the lunch will be served on the way. All the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be included in the package during trek.
  • The Mohare Muldai Hill Trek is easy trek as you will be ascending and gaining elevation slowly while taking rest. It is not necessary your body condition should be in top notched, but the trek will be easier and successful if you could walk 5-6 hours per day. But beware of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) while trekking, there is gain in altitude and your body must be well acclimatized. To have the stabilized stamina, attitude and determination you can have a week-long walking practice prior to your trek day. If you have any critical problems like heart diseases, blood cancer, lungs problem and other life-threatening diseases please consult your doctor before trekking and take necessary measures. You must inform any kind of such complication to Lets Trip Nepal Adventure Pvt. Ltd. as well.
  • The best time to visit Annapurna Eco Community Trek will be in Autumn (September – November) and Spring (March – May). This is the best time to explore the unexplored terrain as the climatic condition is favorable. The weather will warm, clean and sunny with incredible view of mountains and hills at the horizon. Sometimes you walk above the clouds at some places. The winter season (December – February) isn’t favorable for trekking. The summer/monsoon season (June – August) will favorable for those nature lovers who wish to explore mountain vegetation and see some the wildings.
