Nepal Paradiso! 11 day trip to Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini and Chitwan
Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan Intl airport and pick up transfer to the hotel. Historically known as Nepal Valley, lies at the crossroads of ancient civilizations of Asia, and has at least 130 important monuments, including several pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists. There are seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites within the valley.
Day 2/3 - Travel to Pokhara and enjoy the sights, landscape, and witness the daily life of everyday Nepal as we cross the country. Drive to Sarangkot and fly away as enjoy 15 to 30 mins tandem paragliding and with views of Fewa Lake, Pokhara valley, and the majestic Annapurna mountains if weather permits. Visit International Mountaineering and Ethnographic Museum and Devi’s Fall. Witnessed the UNESCO World Heritage site, the World Peace Pagoda.
Day 4 - Travel to Palpa. After breakfast, drive to Palpa to visit Tansen and Shreenagar Village. Get charmed by one of the "off-the-beaten-track" destinations in Nepal, the ancient hill town of Tansen. Walk its cobbled bazaar to find a perfect Dhaka topi for yourself or traverse around Shreenagar Hills. The town has houses strongly influenced by traditional Newari architecture. The name "Tansen" has its origin in the Magar language, meaning "northern settlement."
Day 5 - Drive to Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This special place is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. As such, it holds religious, cultural and historical value. marvel at Maya Devi Temple, which marks the spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in around 563BC.
Day 6 - Visit the heart of Buddhist spiritual life, the Nepalese and international Monasteries/ Vihars representing vernacular architecture and culture of different Buddhist countries and Buddhist traditions fascinate the visitors to Lumbini. Drive out to Kapilvastu area for more sightseeing.
Day 7/8 - This is the day to go for an adventure in the wild! Chitwan National Park is the main attraction of this place having a wide range of wildlife-the rare great one-horned rhinoceros, sloth bear, leopard and more. Enjoy the elephant ride, jungle drive, bird watching, visit elephant breeding camp, crocodile breeding center. Enjoy Tharu cultural dance.
Day 9 - Drive back to Thamel, the center of the tourism in Kathmandu, starting from the hippie days when many artists came to Nepal.
Day 10 - Full day sightseeing in the valley. Visit the UNESCO Heritage sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey) Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan city and travel back in time to feel what Nepal was like in the old days.
Day 11 - Saying goodbye and transfer to Intl airport. bring with you wonderful memories on this journey!
