Sikre Village Home Stay from Kathmandu

Morning you will get free hotel pick-up. Meet your driver and trekking guide at your hotel lobby. Board your vehicle to drive North of Kathmandu. One hour drive from Kathmandu city center bring you to Gurju Bhanjyan also known as "Priest Pass". The drive is scenic mostly following narrow road by passing Newari villages such as Tokha. Drive past to local settlements located on the side of the road. For few kilometers roads goes inside forest area with pristine air to escape hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.

Start your 6 hours trek to Sikre village (1550 meters). First you will walk on gentle trekking trail for 3 hours and start downhill walk to reach to this typical village. The view from the hill top offers panoramic view of Ganesh Himal Range and Langtang Range. 

Upon reaching at Sikre village, you will be welcomed by local host. Stay with typical Gurung family to see local culture, their lifestyle and daily works. You can also share your experience and support on their household work. You guide will co-ordinate with you and family so both understand better. 

Spend one night at village with wonderful memories. Next morning your guide will take you for village visit. Explore village and local people with farmlands. Start you trek with uphill climb to Shivapuri Hill for 4 hours which is located inside Shivapuri National Park. This top is with elevation of 2500 meters offers commanding view of Himalayan ranges. Trek down hill and follow gentle path carved inside forest area to reach to Budanilakantha. Board your vehicle from Kathmandu and you will be transferred back to your hotel in Kathmandu.
