On Thursday September 7th we had a tour booked to see 4 wineries. Cedar Creek, St. Hubertus, Summerhill and Tantalus. When we were picked up we were told that the venue had changed. We did see Cedar Creek and then we went to the View, Vibrant and Frequency which I had barely heard of. Since all of us were chocked about not seeing our original venue, our driver Vikky took us to Summerhill because she knew we were all upset. So 5 wineries. Vikky was very apologetic, but it was not her fault the tour company changed things around and I want to thank her for making a disaster more tolerable. We did not get what we paid for and this is totally unacceptable. I will never book another tour with Viator
This was our first wine tasting tour and it went beyond our expectations. We were able to visit four wineries. The Tour Driver Trisha was friendly and quite knowledgeable. We had to change venues for the last tour due to traffic but in spite of this the tour ended right on time! Most of the hostesses at the vineyards were quite knowledgeable with the exception of Frequency. The host there admitted to knowing more about recording music than their wines. Needless to say no purchases were made there!!
The tour leader was knowledgeable and friendly, and the vehicle was comfortable and driven safely. He ensured we received all the benefits which were included in the tour price during our respective visits. I recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys sampling good wine!
We got much more than we expected. The bus was clean and cool much needed, our guide was welcoming and made a point of remembering all our names and things about us. He was not a sommelier, but had lots of tips for us, and left that side of things to the experts at the wineries. He was helpful and stored our wines in a cooler in the bus until we finished the tour back at the hotel. He even went above and beyond as I left an item on the bus and he made a special effort to contact me and return it. We visited more venues than advertised and the whole trip was a great experience.
