this was our first activity in the Penticton region. What a beautiful place to explore. The only way to appreciate the grand scale of the lake is to kayak! our guide was very helpful, giving us some knowledge of the area as we paddled through the lake. we had a small bite to eat after kayaking, which wasn't as advertised, but never the less tasty and just enough after a little light exercise. Again as with the brewery and bike tour my only criticism would be the advertising of the tour. If the word WINE is in the title you'd expect it to be included in the price you're paying. However the small print did show that 'alcohol is not inc', however it does not explain that you visit approx 5 wineries and each charge 5 pp for tasting. What you taste varies from winery, some only allow you to taste what they have open and not what you're interested in. The amount of wine per glass that you try isn't enough to drown a fly, let alone taste, however they do give you upto 5 wines to taste and if you purchase a bottle, they deducted your tasting fee. I must stress however, this is nothing to do with Hoodoo Adventure co or any other tour company, this is purely the wineries. BUT, please don't let this put you off experiencing this area with this tour as it is a lovely way to enjoy the area and be treated to a chauffeur driven tour of the wineries.
