Salmon and Halibut Fishing in Ketchikan Alaska

About this activity
The Alaskan waters are nothing new to the fishing scene - they've been fished even before Alaska was a state. Join in the fun with a personalized trip based on your interests. For example, some groups may prefer marine life sightseeing and photography. If you'd prefer to fish instead, you'll have plenty of time with your choice of a 4-hour or 6-hour charter. If you find yourself landing a big catch, you can even have it processed and shipped to you through a 3rd party company.

Decide whether you'd like to fish for salmon, halibut or both - as you'll have plenty of time to take it all in.

SALMON FISHING

Salmon has become one of the most popular seafood selections at restaurants and grocery stores, thanks in part to the rise in commercial fish farming. Yet what’s missing from the salmon found in your local bistro or market are two things – the chase and the taste. Not only is the thrill of the catch an experience you’ll never forget, you also won't forget the rich, flavorful taste of wild-caught salmon – whether King, Silver or other species. It’s all waiting for you here in the “Salmon Capital of the World.”

HALIBUT FISHING

The Pacific Halibut is the largest flatfish in the world, known for its sweet, delicate flavor. But don’t let its refined taste fool you. This is one aggressive fish and when hooked on a line will give you a battle to remember. These monsters of the deep can weigh up to 500 pounds, though average catches run from 30 to 60 pounds – more than enough for great eating and unforgettable stories.

Best Ever! Worth every penny. William is amazing and hard work. He took two moms and three 10 year old boys out for a day of fishing. We came back to the lower 48 with 24 pounds of Alaskan King Salmon and Halibut! He worked hard to make our day special. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime adventure -- this is a trip that will leave you with lasting adventures on plenty of fish tales!
