Day 1: Departure & Surin Islands National Park
Stop At: Mu Ko Surin National Park, Khura Subdistrict, Khura Buri 82150 Thailand
The Reggae Queen sets out to sea on the early morning of the first day on this Andaman snorkel tour.
You will be collected from your Khao Lak resort in the morning between 5.00 – 5.30, depends where you stay. Transfers from Phuket, Krabi, Khao Sok or any other destination can also be arranged if you wish. The transfer to Kuraburi Pier will take around 1,5 hrs. Once on board we make our way out to Surin National Park.
On our journey out there delicious breakfast will be served and you will get the chance to meet your fellow snorkeling companions or relax on the sundeck.
The boat will arrive at 11:00 at Koh Surin - the highlight of our Andaman Snorkel Discovery Liveaboard tours. The archipelago of the Surin Islands is a mecca for snorkeling fans and offers a variety of snorkel spots - colorful corals in shallow water, countless fish and pristine beaches.
The first snorkel spot we explore is “Jack Bay”, a young reef with a great variety of colourful corals. Snorkeling stops are usually for an hour at a time, we find that this is enough to explore a site and gives us plenty of time to travel between the snorkel sites. While you are underwater exploring, our crew will do their magic on board and prepare a well needed lunch for you on the boat.
After lunch we will have our 2nd snorkel stop north of Jack Bay. Waters here are a bit deeper and with a bit of luck we might spot turtles, sharks or even eagle rays.
Our next stops are “Chong Kad Bay” and “Turtle Bay”. Here you will find a perfect underwater world with intact hard and soft corals and a variety of marine life that leaves no room for boredom.
After that you will have time to recap your snorkel experience with your fellow snorkeling companions, relax on the sundeck, read or to take a nap.
Around 18.00 we get ready for our last snorkel session – the hightlight of the day. During the last light of the day we explore the riff; it‘s „dinner“ time for fish. They come out to eat before the sun sets slowly which gives us the chance to see an unbelievably large variety of fish. And with a bit of luck we also discover lionfish that come from their hiding places to take control of the reef at night.
After that it’s time for a sundowner while we enjoy the amazing landscape of Surin Islands. Dinner will be served and we will go for the night at anchor. Sleep well because the next day is full of more adventures!

Day 2: Surin Islands National Park & Return
Stop At: Mu Ko Surin National Park, Khura Subdistrict, Khura Buri 82150 Thailand
Wake up for a delicious breakfast served on board the boat at 7.00; this will set you up for your day of snorkeling & sightseeing at the Surin National Park.
Our first snorkel session will be right after breakfast. Huge coral blocks in crystal clear waters are waiting for us. We will spend an hour snorkeling in the beautiful waters looking for more fascinating sea creatures and corals.
After that we heading onto one of the islands and visiting the Moken village (Sea Gypsies).
This trip is what makes our Andaman snorkel tour the most outstanding, as we are the only one to visit here and include this cultural aspect into our itinerary. We take a look around the village and see what island life is like for this sea faring folk. Of course, we are always respectful and do not intrude on their culture or beliefs – with this in mind please dress appropriately when visiting. Take the chance to purchase some unique souvenirs here, as the Moken make beautiful little trinkets and are grateful for the income. Andaman Snorkel Discovery try to be as socially and environmentally responsible as we can. Afterwards our traditional Moken taxi will take us to ‘Kra Thing Bay’. From here we will follow a short trail across the island to ‘Mai Ngam Bay’ for some relaxing time on the beach and swimming off the shore. And if it is the right time of the year we might be lucky and can play with baby sharks in the mangroves.
Now it is time to say goodbye to beautiful Surin Islands. Around 13.00 we will weigh anchor and cruise back. Lunch will be served onboard on the way. We will arrive in Kuraburi at approximately 17.00 after an unforgettable Andaman snorkeling experience full of stunning beaches, breathtaking vistas and colorful sea life. The transfer back to Khao Lak will take about an hour and a half, so you should be back to your resort by 18.30.
