Day 1: Train from Kyiv to Lviv and Lviv Walking Old Town Tour

Pass By: Green Tour Ukraine, Chernogorskaya st. 17/14, Kiev 01103 Ukraine
At 5 am/6 am (depending on the train schedule) your 2-day tour to the city of Lviv will start when the driver picks you up from your Kiev hotel and takes you to the Kiev Train Station. You will receive your ticket and get on board a comfortable Intercity train. The road from Kiev to Lviv takes approx. 5 hours. You will enjoy the picturesque landscapes along the route and may buy some snacks and drinks at the buffet car.

Once you arrive in Lviv, your driver will meet you at the station and will take you to your hotel, where you will have some time.

Later, you'll have 2.5-hour panoramic Lviv city tour. You will enjoy a spectacular view of the city from the High Castle Hill. The bird`s-eye panorama of Lviv from this place is impressive.

Next, you will visit the famous Baroque St. George's Cathedral and the marvelous Dominican Cathedral. The Roman Catholic church of St. Mary Magdalene built in 1630 and now hosting the House of Organ and Chamber Music is located not far from the splendid cathedrals. One of the first Eastern European technical institutions of higher education, the Lviv Polytechnic National University founded in 1844 will admire you with its beauty. Another attraction of Lviv every traveller must visit is a mysterious Lychakiv Cemetery that keeps numerous secrets of the past. After the tour, overwhelmed with positive impressions, you will have a free time to buy some souvenirs.

In the evening, you may visit the best Lviv cafés and restaurants and taste delicious local cuisine (optional, own expense).

UNESCO-listed Lviv Old Town is an architectural pearl, where every building has its story. Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere of ancient city, walking through the cozy cobblestone streets.

The highlight of Lviv Old Town is a famous Rynok Square. Four corners of the square are decorated with fountains with mythological figures of gods. It’s a must-visit place in Lviv.

The Chapel of the Boim Family, the famed City Hall and a mysterious olden Pharmacy Museum located near the fountains will strengthen your admiration of the city.

You will have a free time in the city center to have lunch (optional, own expense).

At approx. 4:00pm (depending on the train schedule) your driver will meet you in the city center and take you to the Lviv Train Station for the intercity train back to Kiev. After 5-hour train trip, you arrive in Kiev in the evening. Your driver, after meeting you mear your carriage, will drop you off at your hotel.
