Day 1: Review of Kyiv recreation part 1

Pass By: Sofiyskaya Square, Kiev Ukraine
Sofiyska Square, Kyiv’s main square during Yaroslav the Wise’s reign in the 11th century. Present time the square is the place of many significant events related to Ukraine’s independence. Not far from it, there is St. Sofia Cathedral, Kyiv’s oldest church to survive, named after St. Sofia Cathedral in Constantinople. Like Constantinople’s ours was also meant to glorify the wisdom of Christianity (“sophus” in Greek is “wisdom”).

Pass By: The House with Chimeras, 10 Bankova Street, Kiev Ukraine
The House with Chimeras is the most famous and ridiculous mansion in Kuiv. You will see marble grand staircase, the walls trimmed with alder, refined parquet, majolica, mother of pearl and of course the fancy decorations in the form of trophies and mystical creatures during your visiting the Gorodetsky’s House.

Pass By: Khreshchatyk St., Kiev Ukraine
Khreshchatyk, the main street of Kyiv. Today the street is the administrative and business centre of the city as well as a popular place for Kyivans. It’s divided by Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square). Following the collapse of the Soviet Union and especially after the so-called Orange Revolution of 2004 Maidan gained a wider context as a symbol of changes of the country.

Pass By: People’s Friendship Arch, Khreshchatyj Park near European Square, Kiev Ukraine
Dedicated to the unification of Russia and Ukraine. The rainbow shape arch is 50 metres in Diameter. There is a viewing deck here (right picture) where most of the east bank can be viewed, Troeschina and towards the north of the city. Podil and Obolon in a romantic and mysterious nocturnal atmosphere.

Day 2: Review of Kyiv recreation part 2

Pass By: National Museum of the History of Ukraine, Volodymyrska vul. 2, Kiev 01001 Ukraine
The National Museum of the History of Ukraine, which is located in Kiev, was founded a long time ago, in 1899. The Motherland Monument dominates the skyline and is one of Kyiv’s recognizable landmarks. It has an interesting history.

Pass By: St. Andrew's Church, Andreyevskiy Spusk, 23, Kiev Ukraine
Here you are waiting for the gothic castle of Richard the Lion Heart, who has no relation to the heroic king of England. Turbin House, where the great Mikhail Bulgakov lived for more than 10 years. Museum of one street, it is not difficult to guess which one. Cafe, public gardens and theaters. And all this in the shadow of the mountains, remembering the foundation of Kiev

Pass By: Golden Gate, Vladimirskaya st., 40a, Kiev Ukraine
The central entrance to the capital of Yaroslav times. More precisely, to the modern reconstruction, built over the remnants of the original Gate.
