The tour was okay. Our driver Sasha was excellent but he left us with another guide to tour the monastery and I cam away confused about what we had seen. It would have helped if at the beginning we had been shown a map of the area and had been told what buildings were inside and what they were for. I think we should also have been told at the beginning what the cost to enter various buildings were and what our options were going to be. I felt as if he guide was just trying to fill up an allotted amount of time,

An excellent tour of the Monastery. The guide did a great job explaining the history and the architecture and conveyed a sense of the importance of the site to Ukrainian people. She mixed in some great stories, which made the tour all the more interesting. Within the grounds there is a museum of microminiatures with superb sculptures and paintings visible only under microscopes, made by Mykola Syadristy.
