About this activity
Private tours allow visitors of Chernobyl zone to see places usually hidden from the group tours and enter parts of the city of Pripyat and the exclusion zone rarely seen on tours at all. Additionally, only private tours can show you the breath-taking Chernobyl nuclear power plant, including the control room and underground bunker.
For your private tour you can choose your pick up place and transportation - even retro cars from Soviet union times. Old Soviet uniforms for your photo shooting will bring back the atmosphere from 1986 on this unique journey.
Itinerary (program is always adjusted to your needs) - example for 1 day:
From 6am to 8am Pick up at your hotel
10am Entering Chernobyl exclusion zone
10:15am-11:15am City of Chernobyl: City sign, Memorial park, Church, Docks
11:15am-11:45am Lunch
12:15-3:30pm Pripyat sightseeing: City sign, Red Forest, Bridge of death, Tree of friendship, Hospital, River port, Collapsed elementary school, Cinema Prometheus, Music school, Hotel, Palace of culture, Sports center, Amusement park (with ferris wheel), Football stadium, Department store, Elementary school, Swimming pool, Kindergarten
*3:45pm-6pm (EXTRA - upon request) Excursion to Chernobyl power plant: bunker, machinery room, control room, new safe confinement construction site center etc.
4pm Chernobyl-2/Duga radar
5:30pm Parishev village - meeting local self settlers, try home-made vodka
6:30pm shopping at local store in Chernobyl: souvenirs, drinks, snacks
7pm leaving Chernobyl exclusion zone or *Dinner (staying in Chernobyl hotel for 1 night)
Around 9pm Coming back to Kiev
