Stop At: The Paps, The Park Islandmore, Killarney Ireland
We will walk to the Paps through a forest followed by a valley with a wild mountain stream. Rapids and cascading waterfalls dig deep into the rocky bottom here. A settlement of half a dozen cottages, farms and huts people abandoned 100's of years ago. We will climb the Paps of Anu (West) that you can only reach after a long walk. The whole experience is unique because no tourists ever visit this valley since it is not in any travel guide.
During the hike and on the top of the Paps you can enjoy the most spectacular views towards, Killarney and its lakes, The Reeks, Mangerton, Dingle, Co. Cork and Sliabh Luachra.

- Good walking shoes are necessary. In winter time or during wet seasons waterproof hiking shoes or Wellingtons are essential. Put a raincoat in your backpack for unexpected weather changes.
- Bottled water - Bring enough water and food with you for the walk. Snacks, sandwiches, fruits, energy bars that will get you through the 4 hours+ hike.
