About this activity
• Full day private guided tour of the Dingle Peninsula & Slea Head, including but not limited to:
• Inch beach with its endlessly long sandy beach against a lovely mountain background
• The charming and colourful town of Dingle, famous for its music, crafts and Gaelic culture
• Iron Age stone forts and Beehive huts
• Spectacular views of the Blasket and Skellig Islands on a clear day
• Gallarus Oratory, thought to date from the 10th or 11th century and the only one if its kind surviving intact on the Irish mainland
• Kilmalkedar, centre of Christian monasticism in the 7th century and site of an ogham stone, alphabet stone, sundial and stone cross.
• The wild and rugged Blasket Islands, now uninhabited, whose people left behind an impressive legacy of critically acclaimed literature.

On this full day private guided tour, the term 'The Wild Atlantic Way' will come to life.

You will be collected from your accommodation at 9.00am (flexible) and travel in a luxury air-conditioned 9 seater minibus.

We will make our way to Inch Beach, voted Ireland's favourite beach in 2018. Here you can dip your toes in the Atlantic Ocean or perhaps enjoy a welcome coffee break.

From Inch, the road hugs the coastline as we make our way to Dingle town, the capital of Kerry's Gaelic-speaking area, also famous for its local resident Fungi the dolphin.

From there it is on to the Slea Head Scenic Drive, one of the best and most spectacular driving routes in Ireland with breath-taking views of the coastline, cliff top roads and numerous archaeological sites along the way.

On the way you will have opportunities to see some of those beehive huts close up, hold a baby lamb, and visit an Iron Age stone fort.

You will also have amazing views of the Blasket Islands and the beautiful ‘patchwork quilt’ stone wall field system.

As it is your day and your itinerary, you will have time to visit any one of the amazing crafts on the Dingle Peninsula. You have many to choose from, like pottery, weaving and textiles, whiskey, vodka, craft beer, jewellery and leather goods, crystal etc.

We will also have a stop for lunch and plenty of stops for photo opportunities and rest stops.
