About this activity
After hotel pickup, you’re transferred to Thong Krut pier. Board a long-tail boat with your small group for a 20-minute ride to Koh Tan, also known as Coral Island, located off the southwestern coast of Koh Samui and Taling Nam fishing village.
Pull on your provided mask and fins, and slip into the warm, turquoise water. You have an hour to snorkel over the region’s best coral reef, fringed by unspoiled white-sand beaches. Follow your experienced guide through an amazing underwater world teeming with fan corals and marine life, including giant clams and a wide variety of fish darting around the protected reef.
Back aboard the boat, enjoy a short cruise south to Koh Mudsum — a favorite with local Thais for picnics or singing songs around campfires. Enjoy another hour swimming or sunbathing at a secluded, sandy beach as sandwich snacks and beverages are served. Explore the tropical coastline around the island or simply relax on the shore.
Your guide returns you to Koh Tan for another, shorter snorkeling stop before you cruise back to Koh Samui. Upon arrival, settle in at a local restaurant for a Thai set lunch with a sea view. After a full day of fun in the sun, you’re driven back to your hotel in the afternoon.

I recently went on this trip to Koh Tan Island. Didn't visit Mudsum as suggested but did visit another beach and have around 30 mins on a water slide/flouting activity. Great lunch served at Koh Tan, really tasty........ well worth it all round.
