About this activity
Our tour team will welcome you to Koh Samui upon your arrival at the pier and lead you away from the crowds and vehicle convoys (please note that due to tendering you may need to wait for arrival of other visitors from your cruise ship).

You will start with visit the very famous rock formation of Hin Ta & Hin Yai (Grandfather and Grandmother), located at the idyllic emerald Sea. Ask our guide about the Thai legend of this extraordinary rock formation.

Next we will visit Guan Yu shrine featuring a massive copy of Guan Yu`s head offers a guiding landmark to visitors. The effigy has a red face, which seems to radiate anger, and sits like an avenging force above the shrine complex. Old photographs and portraits of ethnic Chinese settlers who lived out their lives on Koh Samui are interspersed with the decorations.

We will follow with a visit to Koh Samui most impressive waterfall Namuang Waterfall. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful cascade and surroundings or swim in the natural pools (optional).

After a short drive you will arrive to the mummified monk temple, an amazing and unique attraction of the Koh Samui. This place too has an original story to tell.

Around noon we will stop for lunch so you can enjoy good Thai food next to the waterfalls. The menu we normally suggest is as follows but it can be modified in accordance to your preferences: Spring Roll vegetable, green curry chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried shrimp with cashew nuts, Tom Yum shrimp soup, steamed rice, fresh fruits, bottled drinking water.

We will visit Samui’s One Tambon One Product coconut carved furniture cottage factory where you you’ll see the workers using simple traditional tools to make the wonderful coconut dishes and a like. In the front of the factory you’ll find the original shop that supplies all other souvenir shops on the island.

On the way back to the pier, if time allows, we will stop for an hour or so at Maenam or Lipa Noi white sandy beach for you to relax prior to returning to the pier. Once we arrive to the pier, you may explore the local market filled with strong smells, remarkable sights and exotic flavors in a surprisingly small roofed area.
