About this activity
Visit: UCC Coffee Museum, 6-6-2 Minatojima Nakamachi, Chuo, Kobe 650-0046 Hyogo Prefecture

In Kobe in the Hyogo prefecture, you will find the UCC Coffee Museum. UCC is famous for introducing the first canned coffee in the world and has ties to coffee all over the world, including a Kona coffee farm in Hawaii.

The museum is structured in a spiral and built so that you can experience the full history from top to bottom -- starting with a single coffee tree. At the UCC Coffee Museum, a free audio guide is provided in the form of an app for your smartphone so that you can easily understand and enjoy everything in the museum.

There is also a Tasting Corner where you can go to compare the flavor and aroma of different coffee beans (usually two different types) four times a day. The theme of these coffee beans changes every month, so if you want to come back the following month, you will not be tasting the same coffee beans you've had the previous month.

After viewing the entire museum, you can take a Q&A to find out how well you know the museum, and get a Coffee Doctore certificate from the UCC Museum with your photo in it.
