Full day Trekking and Bamboo Rafting at Periyar Forest

This Activity includes a near 20 km trek and Bamboo rafting along the Periyar Lake. The program start off by 8 am in the morning with a 7 km trek right through the Periyar forest. As you go deep, the jungle ambiance would take you by surprise. The feeling is intense with the cricket sound getting so loud that you realize you are in the core forest area.
After a near 2 hours trek you will reach the bamboo rafting area where you can have your breakfast. Post breakfast your Bamboo rafting session starts. Enjoy gliding along the glistening Periyar Lake. If you are lucky you would spot many wild residents of Periyar such as Bison. Elephants, deers or even a tiger.
A 1 hour session of rafting and you reach a beautiful spot where you can have your packed lunch. Next up if you wish the guides would take you for a small walk again at this part of the Periyar Forest. You might come across Bisons, Lion Tailed Macaque, Niligiri Langur and small deers who frequent this area. By 2 pm, hop on to your raft and start floating back. Another 7 km walk take you to the Finishing point where the program ends.
