Cochin, India - Houseboat tour with Chinese fishing nets
This tour includes a 4 hour cruise on a traditional houseboat through the backwaters of Alleppey. In addition to seeing how the locals live in the Kerala region you are served a traditional Kerala-style lunch during the cruise.
After meeting your guide in Cochin you drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha) which is widely known as the "Venice of the East." Upon arrival you board a traditional houseboat which has been converted to a deluxe longboat with a marvelous blending of old and innovative styles. You explore the wide network of rivers, lakes, canals and lagoons which are referred to as "backwaters".
During the cruise you have the golden opportunity to taste a Kerala-style lunch which includes delicious local fish dishes, rice and vegetables.
Panjim & Old Goa - 6 hours
engage with the colonial and religious history in tropical Goa on a half-day tour with the benefit of a private guide adding a personal touch. Visit beautiful Christian churches, admire sweeping views of the surrounding region, and gather a historical understanding of the area.

Admire the archway and head around the corner to view the legendary Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The original hotel building was commissioned by Jamshedji Tata and first opened to guests on December 16, 1903. Pass the High Court, Prince of Wales Museum, and other landmarks, and visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here, continue to a viewing point to gaze over the Dhobi Gat, the city’s open-air laundry. Move on to see Mani Bhavan, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi, and on route, take in views of the Haji Ali Dargah, a mosque situated on an islet off Mumbai’s shores. Afterward, visit Kamala Nehru Park at Malabar Hill to enjoy the best panoramas over the city's skyline, and then drive along Marine Drive, also known as the ‘Queen’s Necklace.’ Your tour finishes with a drop-off back at the cruise port
