Day 2: 7:00 AM - Arrival in NJP Railway station & drive to Darjeeling by private car (90 Km / 3 Hours)

Arrival in Darjeeling & transfer to hotel. Check in at the hotel and take rest.

Day 3: Experience the Queen of Hill Darjeeling - Full Day Sightseeing

Begin your day early morning with a visit to Tiger Hill to feel enriched by the first rays of the sun that come through the enigmatic Kanchenjunga mountain.

Stop At: Ghoom Monastery, Tamang Buddhidt Monastery Rd, Darjeeling 734102 India
Old Ghoom Monastery is the oldest in the region. It is known for its 15 feet (4.6 m)-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha.

Stop At: Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Ghoom Museum, Ghoom Railway Station, Darjeeling 734102 India
Operating on narrow gauge tracks since 1880s and providing an important transport link to various parts of Darjeeling hills and lower plains, the toy train is an icon of our heritage since the colonial days and an engineering marvel that was achieved in that era. It also offers a wonderful way of absorbing the Himalayan beauty as you traverse along the slopes of the hills.

Happy Valley Tea Estate is a tea garden in Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. Established in 1854, it is Darjeeling's second oldest tea estate. Spread over 177 hectares (440 acres), it is situated at a height of 2,100 metres above sea level.

Stop At: Japanese Peace Pagoda, Darjeeling 734101 India
Peace Pagoda is one of the Peace Pagodas designed to provide a focus for people of all races and creeds to help unite them in their search for world peace. Like most of the other Peace Pagodas, it was built under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii (1885–1985), a Buddhist monk from Japan.

There is no better place to get a 360 degree view of Darjeeling's landscape including the hill town and the snow covered peaks of the Eastern Himalayas with the majestic Kanchenjunga on one side. And all this from the middle of a lovely flowering garden around which the toy train track is laid.

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (also called the Darjeeling Zoo) is a 67.56-acre zoo in the town of Darjeeling. The zoo was opened in 1958, and an average elevation of 7,000 feet (2,134 m), is the largest high altitude zoo in India. It specializes in breeding animals adapted to alpine conditions, and has successful captive breeding programs for the snow leopard, the critically endangered Himalayan wolf and the red panda. The park is named after Padmaja Naidu, The zoo serves as the central hub for Central Zoo Authority of India's red panda program and is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Stop At: Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Jawahar Parvat, Darjeeling, Darjeeling 734101 India
Following the conquest of Mount Everest in 1953 for the first time in history, Edmund Hillary was knighted by the Queen of England. And in India, the nation built the HMI in Darjeeling to commemorate the success of sherpa Tenzing Norgay. The foundation stone of the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was laid by the first Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru on November 4th, 1954.
Tenzing was the only other companion of Edmund Hillary to the summit. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was built as a tribute to Tenzing so that he could impart his skills to all those who pursued climbing activities in the Himalayas.

Day 4: Visit Mirik Lake &

Stop At: Mirik Lake, Mirik, West Bengal 734214, India
After breakfast you will be driven to Mirik. Mirik is a small and sleepy hill town in Darjeeling district, 49 kms away from Darjeeling town. It takes about two and half hours by car to reach Mirik from Darjeeling. A road from Ghum goes to Sukhiapokhri, a busy hill township located 11 kms from Ghum. The road continues to Mirik through scenic tea gardens and lovely mountain landscapes. It's a wonderful scenic drive through tea gardens on hill slopes. You will pass by the famous Thurbo Tea Estate of Goodricke as well as several others like Gopaldhara. On the way you will also see a lot of orange orchards.

Day 5: Darjeeling to Kolkata by Train

Pass By: njp railway station, New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, Ward 35, Nayapara, Siliguri, West Bengal 734004, India
At 10 AM check out from the hotel and drive to NJP Railway Station (90 km) from Darjeeling. You will board an overnight train journey to Kolkata or you can decide your next destination.
