The sea beach of bakkhali is saucer shaped. On days of full moon and ama vasya the tide recedes in morning but comes back very quickly. If somebody ventures deep... Then it is asking for trouble.. So watch out for the warning boards and the local people...
The beach is very clean...enjoy the evening with some fresh fish fries...
Travel time. Its abt 130 kms from Kolkata.
3.5 hrs to 4 hrs with small tea halts to naamkhana jetty. It is suggested to start positively by 7 am.. Then the market areas en route to market will be less crowded.
