Full Day Private Tour to Shantiniketan

After breakfast at the hotel around 08:00 AM, we take you for a day trip to Shantiniketan. As we drive to Shanitniketan, we stop in between for a lunch. After lunch, proceed for a trip, the key attraction in Shantiniketan is listed below:-

Vishwa Bharati University Campus

It is a public central university, which was discovered by Rabindranath Tagore.

China Bhawan

It comprises of many books, archives and manuscripts, which are dedicated to various other sections of the academy.

Chhatimtala

It is a place for mediation, which was used by Maharshi Debendranath, the father of Rabindranath Tagore. He meditated each day as he devoted himself to world peace.

Kala Bhavan

It is the art department of the University, which was discovered by Rabindranath Tagore. It showcases sculptures by Ramkinkar Baij and Somenath Hore.

Patha Bhavan,

It is the oldest school of the university where they emphasis upon, open oriental learning.

Bichitra

It is also called Rabindra Bhavan, which was designed by his son to display his father’s work and personal belongings.

Sangeet Bhawan

Dedicated to dance and music it imparts training for artists in various music forms such as Rabindra Sangit, Hindustani Classical Vocal and Instrumental Music.

Other than that, the tour takes you to the Uttarayan Complex, which an abode of Rabindranath Tagore that comprises of several buildings. Based around 3 Km from Shantiniketan is Sriniketan, the Institute of rural reconstruction, which is your next visit.

Here your day trip comes to an end and we drive back to Kolkata. The driver would drop you off at your hotel.
