Begin with 8am pickup at your hotel in Kolkata, then travel to Belur Math, which is roughly 10 miles (16 kilometers) from Kolkata, on the western bank of Hooghly River.
Enter the main gate and take in the Rama Krishna temple: depending on the angle and perspective, the temple resembles a church, mosque or temple. Learn about the building’s unique architecture and non-sectarian significance, then enter the temple, where you may see the devotees who line up outside the President’s residence waiting for blessings.
