Monastery was founded by St Basil who later become St Basil of Ostrog Monastery (Sv
Vasilije Ostroski). Here you will see the lower and the upper Monasteries, attracting
special attention from millions of tourists and pilgrims every year. In the upper
Monastery, there are two churches, each of them representing important religious sites
filled with frescoes and relics of Saint Basil and it is even believed that a piece of the
cross Christ was crucified on was given to the church. You will admire the combination
of the perfect blend of nature and religion in Monastery, bow to the miracle religious
ornaments and find out more about St Basil's life and cult, spread among the believers
of all three confessions
