It was a memorable day but we spent 11 hours in a bus: covered 450km of the country. Local food and drink, amazing guide Luka and driver Sohan, but very busy. The Black Lake was stunning but we forgot to bring our swimming clothes so wasted two hours there. The monastery in Ostrog is the gem of the tour but it was 7pm when we reached there so could only rush through in 15 minutes. Could not get a feel for the zen vibrations. The guides were friendly and helpful even when my son threw up on the bus because of the winding roads in the mountains. They had great recommendations for local food and took us to the best local restaurants in North Montenegro. Amazing scenery and local shops. Got wild honey in the forest in a small shack and even included a zip line thrill over the beautiful river Tara canyon which is the “second deepest canyon in the world.” Overall well worth the price but exhausting; we got home at almost midnight because we had to drive from Kotor back to Budva where we were staying. Guides were flexible enough to drop us off to our individual hotels. Seen everything we needed to know or see about Montenegro
