It’s called the Blue Cave because the way the light hits the sandy bottom and reflects up through the water makes the whole cave look blue.
You can see the blue light shining out of the cave when you approach, but to really see it you’ve got to go inside and get underwater.
It is three-four meters deep and from the sea level to the ceiling it is nine meters high.

Mamula is island with round shaped fortress placed on entry of Boka Bay it is built in 19 century for defensive purpose and in World War I and II it has served as a prison. Today, the fortress is protected by the Government as a cultural monument. It is preserved in good condition and attracts the tourists.
