Stop At: Altstadt (Old Town) Budva, Budva, Budva Municipality Montenegro
After about 40 minutes, we arrive in Budva. Budva is 2,500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. A legend recounts that Bouthoe was founded by Cadmus, the founder of Thebes. Cadmus was married with beautiful Harmonia, doughter of Ares, God of war, and Aphrodite, Goddess of love. In their old age and exiled from Thebes, Cadmus and Harmonia travelled all the way to the Adriatic Coast in an ox drawn carriage until they arrived among the tribe of the Encheleans. They chose the most beautiful place in which to make a home. Cadmus swore to Harmonia that they would never leave and would found a city in which to spend their finest days in peace. They named it Budva the oxen (butes) that drew their carriage on that long journey.

Next stop, is Sveti Stefan, where you will be able to capture panoramic view of this Montenegrin town (hotel). Previously a fishing village, in 1960 it was converted into the old town, with its tower, narrow streets, shops and small churches, remained unchanged. Sveti Stefan is an unusual and unique place not only at Montenegro or Budva’s Riviera but in the whole Mediterranean.
