About this activity
Stand-up paddling is a popular low impact sport, suitable for anyone from ages 8 to 80. This tour includes instruction on high quality inflatable stand up paddle boards made by ULI. A transfer to the starting point at Solila Beach is included in the price and takes just 15 minutes from either Kotor or Tivat.

After becoming acquainted with your paddle-boarding equipment during a 15-minute lesson, the tour will take approximately 2.5 hours. Experience miles of coastal Montenegro at your own pace and explore its many coves and islets. Expect to encounter bird species at the nature reserve, and maybe fish and dolphins. Frequent swimming makes this tour a great way to interact with nature. The tour is flexible in length based on the group's interest and capability. Visitors will have ample time to change and prepare for the transfer back to the pick-up point.

Pretty cool experience but not worth the money the company is very unorganized and the employees don't really know what is going on. The meeting spot is less than 10 min walk from the cruise port but when we got there, there was no one there. Finally we were greeted by a worker but he had no idea where our paddleboards were or where we were going. Also, THERE IS NO SECURE LOCKUP for your stuff. We were told Kotor is really safe, no one will touch it and instructed to leave our belongings in a random van. Eventually we got in said van and were driven about 20 mins away to a different spot which was beautiful but I had no idea what was going on. It all eventually worked out and the people were very friendly, but I felt uneasy pretty much the entire time. Please note there is no guide as other reviews implied. They just kind of send you off to figure it out. Like I said, it all worked out well and was fun and pretty spot, but I felt very uneasy at the disorganization and lack of secure lockup. I would probably not take this tour again if we are ever in Kotor.

Fantastic place for paddleboarding! This was not a guided tour, just paddleboard hire. Easy to find, close to cruise ship port, friendly staff and good equipment. Really enjoyed our day and would recommend.

The tour was very personalized to help out with the kids 8 and 11 that wanted to try out paddle boarding. The wind took us in a different direction and we were picked up and moved to the calmer side of the island. Lots of flexibility on departure time. The water was so clear even though there wasn't much wild life to see it was a fabulous scenery! No boats on the water to be concerned about waves which was great! Good first experience paddle boarding.

Run my Montenegro, we received transport to the location near Tivat where we met our instructor/guide Jeff. He was American and so spoke perfect English and was very helpful. He safety briefed us well and was great in getting us prepared to begin paddle-boarding. The day was awesome, and was a great way to experience the awesome scenery of the bay. The equipment provided is top notch also. Would highly recommend this tour and other tours run by Montenegro we also did kayaking to the blue cave.

We went on two tours with Montenegro, the SUP tour in Kotor Bay and kayaking to the Blue Cave. I only wished we had done more tours! They are professional and helpful. Paddleboarding in Kotor Bay is amazing-- it's easy to get the hang of, so perfect for all abilities--and it is so pretty. I will always remember floating past the island with the church, to the nature reserve, and past families swimming from the docks and sailboats. The boards are nice and they made sure I had safety equipment. This is one of the highlights of my trip to Montenegro.

This is more of an equipment rental than a tour. There was no guide with us. We were on our own, and there were a couple of thunderstorms that appeared while we were paddling and we had to stop and call for help and get picked up on an island. It didn't seem like safety was much of a priority, I was surprised that no one came to get us when the thunder started because generally, being out on the water during a storm isn't the best idea. Also, the paddleboards didn't have ankle straps, so when you fell you had to be quick and swim to the paddle board.

This tour is perfect for individuals with varying levels of experience as you are given the autonomy to paddle around wherever you like and at whatever pace suits. Jeff gave us a quick demonstration prior to us getting on the water and gave us tips about where was best to paddle. An added bonus was paddling within metres of two dolphins!
