This was an amazing experience and well worth it!! You have to go early and have mass in front of the Madonna! So moving.
The tour bus came to pick us and dropped us off at our apartment and it was just the two of us with the driver which was really private. The driver was a young man Maciek who spoke very good English and waited for us while we were on the tour. It is a 2 hour drive one way from Krakow. When we arrived, a Dominican nun, Sister Caroline took us around and she was wonderful. There were many students there on school tours and they were kneeling all the way around the shrine of our Lady which we understand is customary but Sister told us since we were visitors, it was not necessary. But it was good to see young people showing their reverence and respect.
The private tour to Czestochowa was a wonderful experience. Our driver Lukasz was professional, an excellent and safe driver, very fluent in English and went out of his way to be sure our visit was informative, and above all the experience we were hoping for. Would recommend Viator Tours at any time.
