About this activity
Seen by many as the country’s cultural and spiritual capital, Krakow is by far Poland’s best-known and most-visited city. World Heritage-listed Old Town along with the former Jewish quarter of Kazimierz rank among the best preserved medieval sites in Europe. If ancient houses, lofty Gothic churches, magnificent palaces, and castles are your thing, then Krakow does have a lot to offer. Home to Central Europe’s second oldest university – an object of national pride – as well as a bustling cultural, academic and business center, Krakow has a quite cosmopolitan feel to it. There is no better place to experience that welcoming atmosphere than by taking advantage of the excellent range of cafés, pubs, and restaurants that will perfectly attend to landmark-weary legs. Now we give You an opportunity to do the tour of Krakow in two different ways – by an electric car with an audio guide system or walking with a licensed city guide. City tour by an electric car: Our electric cars with a professional guide will take you anywhere you want showing you around the most interesting sights of our beautiful city. The route leads along the most important monuments and historical places of interest of the Old Town. The renaissance Royal Castle at the Wawel Hill, St Mary’s Basilica on the Main Square, the historical market stalls of the Cloth Hall, the former Jewish quarter of Kazimierz with seven synagogues, as well as the old Jewish Ghetto and former Oskar Schindler’s enamel factory. During the sightseeing, you can listen to the audioguide in eleven languages and take a picture of the monument you find most impressive. Sights to see: Old Town with Royal Castle Kazimierz Ghetto Schindler's Factory Krakow Walking Tours: Feeling attracted yet? If we have successfully aroused your interest, then do pay us a visit and give Krakow a decent chance. One of the best ways to grasp the city’s splendor is, quite simply, to take a leisurely stroll along some of its enchanting shady cobbled streets and pedestrianized areas with a licensed city guide who will provide you with a handful of invaluable insights into the city’s history, culture and major places of interest. Our Recommendations A standard guided tour of any of the following routes takes a total of approximately 1.5-2 hrs and is likely to be extended if any interiors should be visited. A combined guided tour of the Old Town and Kazimierz or Kazimierz and Podgorze takes about 3-3.5 hrs. Old town Highlights: The Royal Way, Main Square, St. Mary’s Church, Cloth Hall, university quarter, city walls, Planty Park, Wawel Hill, the Royal Castle. Kazimierz Highlights: Former Christian and Jewish quarters, Gothic churches and synagogues, oldest surviving Jewish cemetery, Schindler’s List original locations. Podgorze Highlights: Krakow Fortress, Krakus Mound, the Vistula River embankments, the former Jewish ghetto, former Plaszow forced labor and concentration camp, former Oskar Schindler’s enamel factory, Schindler’s List original locations. Nowa Huta Highlights: Cistercian Abbey, Wanda Mound, socialist-realist ideal city, Lord’s Ark Church, Nowa Huta Cross, Jan Matejko’s mansion. In addition, we offer visitor-tailored tours to meet our guests’ individual tastes and interests as well as a variety of thematic routes e.g. John Paul II in Krakow, Krakow Secession, Krakow Jews, Krakow Saints, Legendary Krakow, etc. Also, a cycling tour of all of the above-mentioned locations comes as an alternative.
