This is the main square of the Kazimierz district, established in the 14th century by the famous Polish king - Kazimierz Wielki (Kasimirus the Great). Today, in the building of the previous Town Hall, there is a fasci-nating Ethnographic Museum.

Stop At: Ursa Maior, plac Wolnica 10, 31-060 Kraków, Poland
On our Made in Krakow tour we will take you to the Ursa Maior pub to sample the beers there. If you close your eyes, you’ll might even get a sense of the vast wilds of the mountains in every sip. Plus, part of the revenue from beer sales goes back to conservation efforts in the Bieszczady region.

Bernatka pedestrian bridge is a great place for panoramic views as well as for drinking coffee or craft beer in one of many alternative small bars visible.

This is a large square surrounded by beautiful houses dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. At the highest point of the square you’ll find the large, brick, neo-gothic church of St. Josef which replaced the earlier and much smaller one of the same name. Its spire recalls the spire of St. Mary’s Church in the main market of Kraków.

We’ll visit Żywa Pracownia (Alive Space), a local folk-art centre known widely for the goodness and empa-thy of its staff and a beautifully decorated interior. This is where it’s our turn to get creative! Following instructions given by specialists at the centre, we’ll have the opportunity to make some unique souvenirs according to designs and ideas that are more than 100 years old. Alive Space organizes a lot of creative workshops and activities to promote Polish folk art and to raise money for the homeless.
