Day 1: Pre-Angkor Temple Exploration

Stop At: Bakong, Roluos, Siem Reap Cambodia
You will discover more about the ancient city of Hariharalaya and the Bakong Temple, built in the late 9th century where a royal linga was consecrated in 881. The ground level brick sanctuaries represent several features and the bakong with its five-tier pyramid symbolizing Mount Meru is the first major state mountain temple built in Angkor.

The oxcart has been a mode of transport in the Kingdom since the King Jayavarama VII period. In ancient times during war, the army used oxcarts for fighting and for transporting weapons. In recent times they have been used for domestic purposes as they are good for coping with muddy roads .Later embark on a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, covering 250,000 hectares in the dry season. In monsoon season the Mekong River forces the Tonle Sap River to reverse its flow northwards back to the lake, spreading over the surrounding floodplain. You will visit Kompong Pluk, passing floating village houses and impressive flooded forests and have a glimpse of local lives on the water.

Kampong Phluk is a cluster of three villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain

Day 2: Angkor Sunrise Explore

Stop At: Angkor Wat, Siem Reap 17254 Cambodia
View the wonderful Angkor Wat sunrise. Early pick up from your booking hotel to see beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat temple with comfortable air conditioned transport. After visiting the sunrise we will continue on to other temples, stopping at a local market before entering the Secret Golden Gate Enter the Angkor Thom city to explore Bayon temple (known as 216 smiling faces temple) and Ta Prohm temple (known as the Tomb Raider temple) after visiting the temples you will be served with an incredible Lunch at nearby Srah Srong (The royal swimming pool in 10th century) where you will enjoy a meal fit for a King.
