Day 1: Angkor Wat temples
Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to hotel for check-in. After Check in Start the day tour with transfer to Angkor Wat, one of the modern wonder of the world. – Visit Angkor Thom, – Terrace of the Elephants, – Terrace of Leper King, – Bapoun complex. In the afternoon, visit Artisan d’Angkor, an organization focusing on training unschooled rural youth in traditional handicraft skills. After finished sightseeing Artisan d’Ankor, your guide and driver take you back to your hotel.
Day 2: Angkor Grand Circuit
Today, you will transfer to Preah Khan Temple (Secret sword) which located on the Grand Circuit and is generally not as crowded as other temples in the Angkor complex. It was built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII, it is said that once housed over 100.000 official and servants. Continue to Neak Pean Temple, an artificial island with the Buddhist temple on it. It is believed it functioned as a hospital during King Jayavarman VII’s reign. Return back to Siem Reap to rest and enjoy lunch on your own account until you transfer in the mid-afternoon to Ta Prohm. This beautiful temple is one of Angkor’s jewels and its overgrown with fig trees, giving a hunting yet exotic atmosphere. The magnificent roots of the trees have merged over the centuries with the temple’s huge stone blocks, emphasizing a ―forgotten City‖ feeling. You will finish the day with a visit to Srash Srang, which is the former Royal bathing pool of the Khmer Kings and is now a body of water that measures 700 by 350 meter. Enjoy the sunset from Bakheng Mountain and return to Siem Reap for a free evening.
Day 3: Explore Kompong Phluk Half-Day Tour
Discover Kompong Phluk and the Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Featuring local guides who come from the village, guests gain a fascinating insight into life on the Lake. Depart your hotel in the morning, we’ll head out of town and stop off at a local home to hand roll traditional incense, a nearly forgotten trade in Cambodia. Upon arrival in Kompong Pluk, we will take a boat to explore the floating villages of residents and make a stop at the largest, flooded mangrove forest in Siem Reap. Take a canoe ride through the trees with a local resident.
