About this activity
Today, you will join a group tour and your guide start to pick up from a few different hotels, so the pickup time is variable between 7:40am to 8:20am, so guests are advised to wait in the hotel lobby and ready to go as soon as your guide arrives and we will stop at the National Park ticket office for you to buy entrance ticket for those who do not have one yet.

We will start this day with driving 35km north of Siem Reap to the magnificent Banteay Srei temple - the Citadel of women. This is a small Hindu temple, dating back to the 10th century, has three central towers each decorated with superbly intricate reliefs of male and female divinities, carved from pink sandstone contrasting with the main walls made of laterite. While many of Angkor temples are impressive because of their sheer size, Banteay Srei stands out by the quality of craftsmanship on pinkish sandstone.

On the way back, we will drive through many local villages including Preah Dak Village. It is a famous and popular place for souvenirs such as objects and arts. Visitors can discover beautiful places and natural life mixed with souvenirs shops with most things are handmade by villagers from surrounding Angkor National Park.

Afternoon, we continue to visit the East Mebon, a temple with five towers standing on small island in the middle of the artificial lake of the Easter Baray (7 km by 1.8 km), the East Mebon was formerly only accessible by boat. Today, the Baray, once a source of water for irrigation fed by the Siem Reap River, is dry and the temple stands now in a plain of rice fields. Our next stop will be Prasat Neak Pean. It is a small temple with a collection of five ponds representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake Anaavatapta from Hindu mythology. We will also visit Preah Khan, a labyrinth of pavilions, halls and chapels in a vast area encloses by four walls before heading back to town.
• This tour concludes with return transfer to your hotel or any requested drop off point within the city center.

The tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. The tour included a car with driver, the guide and free water. It was a very good itinerary and the tour guide and the driver were nice and polite. I was ond day earlier with a tuk-tuk, and even if this tour is more expensive than the self arrangements with a tuk-tuk is worthy!

If you don't have much time in Siem Reap and you want to still see alot, this tour is perfect. Beautiful surroundings as you go from temple to temple. Our guide was very informative and gave us time to explore each temple by ourselves. We were a small group of 3 and were provided with water all day.

Operated not by Green Era but by other company, which had the mini van maximally packed with 12 of us. Small group tour became relatively large group. Other Downside: Was only offered water twice throughout the day. Plus point: The tour guide was professional and did not hesitated to tell stories regarding the many temples.
