Stop At: Phnom Bakheng, 7 Makara Street, Wat Bo Village Salakamreuk Commune, Siem Reap Cambodia

Hindu and Buddhist temple in the form of a temple mountain. Located atop a hill, it is nowadays a popular tourist spot for sunset views of the much bigger temple Angkor Wat, which lies amid the jungle about 1.5 km to the southeast. The large number of visitors makes Phnom Bakheng one of the most threatened monuments of Angkor.

Stop At: Gate of the Dead, Siem Reap Cambodia

The leafy track that runs the one and half kilometres from The Bayon to the gate was occupied by birds, butterflies and a shy troop of small monkeys, Like all the majestic gates at Angkor Thom, the East Gate is 75 foot in height with four faces of Lokiteshvara (or Jayavarman VII) it nice and quiet there.

Built in the mid-12th century, it is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat period,unique types of female sculptures of devatas enshrined in it. The temple was in a dilapidated state with 4,000 of its elements lying scattered on the embankment and in the Siem Reap River. Many of these elements were used in the restoration work carried out by a Chinese team between 2000 and 2009 under a project sponsored by the People's Republic of China.

it is near the northwest corner of the East Baray, a large holy reservoir. It was dedicated to the Buddha.Ta Nei was extended initially toward the east and then enlarged with three small gopuras on the north, west and south and a large east gopura that is essentially a part of the inner, galleries enclosure.

Stop At: Preah Khan, Angkor Wat, Siem Reap Cambodia

It is located northeast of Angkor Thom and just west of the Jayatataka baray, with which it was associated. It was the center of a substantial organisation, with almost 100,000 officials and servants. The temple is flat in design, with a basic plan of successive rectangular galleries around a Buddhist sanctuary complicated by Hindu satellite temples and numerous later additions.

Stop At: Prasat Preah Palilay, Angkor, Cambodia

It is located in Angkor Thom, 400 m north-west of Phimeanakas. This small Buddhist sanctuary in the wooded area north of the Royal palace in Angkor Thom has a number of attractive features and is well worth the short detour.

Stop At: Angkor Thom Terrace of the Elephants, Siem Reap Cambodia

The Terrace of the Elephants is part of the walled city of Angkor Thom, a ruined temple complex in Cambodia. The terrace was used by Angkor's king Jayavarman VII as a platform from which to view his victorious returning army. It was attached to the palace of Phimeanakas, of which only a few ruins remain.
