Stop At: West Baray, Siem Reap Cambodia
We will arise early for breakfast at your hotel. At 7:45am we will transfer via tuk tuk to our office, to size the correct bike for each of you. We will then set out for our countryside tour, along Siem Reap River to Wat Atveay Temple. After this we will continue to ride to Krie Vil Village, to visit the local market to buy some snacks to eat and some refreshments, at a little countryside café. We will then ride to the West Baray to chill and relax on the hammocks and enjoy cold drinks with a great view of the West Baray Lake. Rectangular in shape and measuring approximately 7.8 by 2.1 kilometers, the West Baray is the largest Baray at Angkor and one of the largest hand cut water reservoirs on Earth.
After our visit to the West Baray, we will then ride around the lake for 9km, to a beautiful traditional Khmer village, to our host family’s house, where we will be welcomed by our hosts, with fresh coconut, palm juice and some traditional snacks. Our hosts will begin to cook lunch in the traditional Khmer open kitchen, where you will be able to watch and learn these amazing ancient cooking techniques and also get hands on and cook with the host family.
