After breakfast at around 8am, we’ll come and pick you up and start the hour or so drive out to the Phnom Kulen mountain range. The drive into the site is up steep hills and the landscape is like no other in Cambodia. This sandstone mountain used to provide all the sandstone required for the temples and is very important for the history of the Khmer empire. Phnom Kulen has been made a National Park by the Cambodian government. Here you can see a stunning waterfall which increases in size during the rainy season. We can also go for a swim and enjoy relaxing by the water. We will also stop to see the Reclining Buddha Statue and the River of a Thousand Lingas.
Duration: 4 hours
Stop At: Kampong Phluk Group Tour, Siem Reap 17254 Cambodia
In the afternoon, we'll head to Kampong Phluk Floating Village ( noted : from March to June we use Mey Chrey instesd). There are around 700 Khmer families living here. In the dry season, the houses sit about 6 to 8 metres above the ground. In the wet season when the Tonle Sap floods, they are just a metre above the water level.
