About this activity
This morning at around 07:30, our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby and drive by private vehicle to PreahVihear Province. It takes about 3 – 4 hours to get there. Stop en route to visit Trapaeng Prasat Temple to have a great view to the Preah Vihear mountain.
Upon arrival, switch to a truck (operated by local community) for climbing up the mountain and enjoy the spectacularly mountainous scenery.
Behold with the amazing views once reaching the Preah Vihear Temple. This site is exceptional for the finesse of its architecture, the religious function of the temple, as well as for the outstanding quality of its carved stone ornamentation. Preah Vihear is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2008.
Later have a packed lunch box near the temple before descending.
Afternoon, on the way back to Siem Reap, we stop at AnlongVeng for some places related to the Khmer Rouge period, including Ta Mok’s House (‘Brother Number 5’ of the Khmer Rouge), Pol Pot’s house (‘Brother Number 1’ of the Khmer Rouge) and his grave. There’s not much to see but a lot to tell. Our expert guide will take you through history, to touch a part of dark period in Cambodia.
After that, drive back to Siem Reap. The tour ends at your hotel at around 06:00 P.M.
