About this activity
Spend an entire day visiting UNESCO-listed Angkor complex with your personal guide, starting with hotel pickup in Siem Reap, considered the gateway to the vast archaeological site. While you travel there by private vehicle, learn about the symmetry and composition of the ancient temples built during the Khmer Empire .

On arrival, pay the entrance fee to the park then set off for the royal city of Angkor Thom and its centerpiece, the Bayon. At first glance, the stone towers may seem like shapeless masses, but further scrutiny reveals enigmatic faces of former King Jayavarman VII sculpted into every direction. A short walk away is the Baphuon temple and Terrace of the Elephants, which served as a platform from which the king could welcome back his victorious army.

Continue by car to Ta Prohm, a jungle temple overgrown with fig trees that lend it a haunting atmosphere. The magnificent roots of the trees have merged over the centuries with the temple’s huge stone blocks, emphasizing a ‘forgotten city’ feeling.

Have lunch (own expense) at one of the restaurants in the Angkor area recommended by your guide. Afterward, visit Angkor Wat, considered by many to be one of the most inspired and spectacular monuments ever built. With its soaring towers and extraordinary bas-reliefs, the temple is truly an awe-inspiring sight surrounded by a glistening moat. Learn from personalized commentary about the hundreds of fine carvings of Apsara and Hindu mythology.

In the evening, you have the option to view the sunset at one of the temples recommended by your guide, before return transport to your hotel in Siem Reap.

My family and I would highly recommend this full day tour to anyone planning a trip to the Angkor temples. We explored three sites, Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, and Angkor Wat. As this was a private tour, we were able to adjust our airport pick-up time and itinerary to our specific needs. Our tour guide, Tip, did an excellent job showing us around and explaining the sites in detail. He was very caring, especially with our grandmother who was unable to climb the steps of the temples, and made us feel comfortable and entertained throughout the entire duration of the tour. In addition, the added bonus of having a private vehicle with air conditioning and cold water bottles provided us comfort in-between sites and some relief from the humid and hot April weather. Thank you so much, Tip. Excellent job, excellent service! We would book this tour again if we visit the Angkor temples in the future.

Such a amazing full day tour.I'm went to this trip with my boyfriend. Okay so let me start to explain our trip. Our guide name is Mr.Raksa and our driver name is Mr.Nimol.We went to this trip around 14 october 2017.Our trip start with pick up at my hotel in Siemreap area and go to buy a ticket for one-day access Angkor wat area price is 37 per person. We start first point at Angkor tom see many historical places that made from rocks and manpower.Unfortunately around 11 a.m. weather is start to heavy rain but our guide spirit is very good we continue our trip to Ta prohm while it's rain. It's sound terrible but we think it's very fun. After lunch we go to the last point for this trip is Angkor wat. Overall i want to recommend this trip to everyone who want to travel private because your guide will have time to explain about every places that you go and private vehicle would make you feel very comfortable to travel not crowded. If we have a chance to go back we will book a sunset tour for sure. With love bong cartoonnilobon.

This trip was a lot of fun. I saw it was private but I didn't think it was literally us, the guide and the driver. It was a pleasant surprise! They picked up us and drove us to the main temple area. We visited a lot of temples and it was amazing. Our tour guides name was Tip and he was so much fun! He was always smiling, cracking jokes, and helping us take awesome pictures. He was super engaging and really made the trip. We had lunch at a great restaurant and tried some authentic Cambodia food. We went in August and the weather was intense but I didn't make the trip any less enjoyable. The trip says full day and you do have that option. Around 2pm we were done our temples and Tip said we had the option of hanging around till sunset or heading back. We were not in Cambodia long so we chose to head back so it was fully all day but it was jam packed with adventure! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to get a personalized, interactive, and informative tour of these great temples. Thanks, Tip!!
