Half-Day Tour: Flavours Of Langkawi

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Langkawi around 10am. We will explore the rural and rustic areas of Langkawi: enjoy countryside view at a leisurely pace and experience a completely different side of Langkawi as you catch a simple of everyday lifestyle of the locals. Visit paddy fields, wet market, Angkor Wat Temple and a typical Malay Kampung House. We will meeting the local residents and experiencing their warm and friendly welcome extended to visitors. Sample the delightful local foods and immerse yourself in the local rural environment, escaping the crowd of the city and the beaches.

The tour will introduce you to Langkawi's traditional culture as you will be visiting some local villages to watch how locals husk their coconuts, experience Betel Nut (Areca) chewing and taste the local BBQ fish with a local spicy sauce typically made from a mixture of local chilli peppers. For afternoon tea, you will be served with traditional ‘kuih-muih’ and local cakes. You will also be given the opportunity to watch and have fun by taking part in traditional games such as Congkak and Batu Tujuh (seven stones) before returning to your hotel.
