Magical River Trek

You will be picked up at hotel/accommodation in Kuala Lumpur at 6AM in the morning before proceeding on a 50 minute drive northeast of Kuala Lumpur through the countryside.

Upon arrival at a quaint Colonial Era town steeped with history and local legends, you will be introduced to a quintessential Malaysian breakfast of Indian origin. After breakfast you will proceed to our B&B to repack your trekking gear and get ready for the day out in the jungle.

The jungle adventure begins with a gentle trek on fairly flat terrain as you traverse on a jungle trail still used by the local aborigines for hunting and food gathering. You will pass through crystal clear river systems and see the foliage change as you start your ascend up the hills. The trek is approximately 2 hours in length before you reach the magical multi-tiered Waterfall. You will be trekking through a rain forest teeming with flora. And if we get lucky, some wild animals can be spotted as well. Expect to encounter river crossings, scrambling across rocks and boulders and crawling through bamboo thickets.

Discover beautiful jungle bubbling brooks and slightly hilly terrain. Watch the enfolding change in landscape as you traverse deep into a tropical paradise. Enjoy the breaks in foliage that affords you a glimpse of the mountain range.

Upon reaching this magnificent waterfall, you will set up at a picturesque spot where you will be spending 2 hours in the tropical paradise. You can swim in the jungle pools, get behind the thunderous waterfall, bask in the sun, take pictures and generally just marvel at beauty of the place. It is highly recommended that you spend as much time swimming and playing at this waterfall as local legend has it that there are mystical positive energies exuded by this waterfall and bestowed upon all who grace it.

You will have the Malaysian national dish as your picnic lunch at the waterfall. This trip is also about introducing you to the culinary delights of the Malaysian cuisine with Indian fare for breakfast, Malay cuisine for lunch and Chinese food for dinner. It is like a mini food tour as well.

After the picnic lunch, you will then start your descend down from the waterfall. Along the way, you can stop at other picturesque spots for more swimming and basking in the sun. You can also stop at a beautiful natural pool along the way back where you can do river jumps into the clear pools. Definitely worth an Instagram moment. We do not rush as we want you to spend as much time in this tropical paradise as you can manage.

Emerging from the jungle, you will be brought back to our B&B to shower and change (and more swimming at our salt water swimming pool if you so desire) before proceeding to an early Chinese dinner at a curated local diner built from the ashes of the communist insurgency in this small town.

Your day out in the jungle ends with return transport back to your accommodation doorstep in Kuala Lumpur.
