About this activity

Your hiking tour of Mt. Tabur begins with pickup from your Kuala Lumpur city hotel in the early morning. From here you will be taken into Melawati for a light breakfast, with time to prepare your backpack. Be sure to bring plenty of drinking water and pack only the essentials you need, such as insect repellent and your camera.

On arrival at the Melawati foothills, embark on a challenging hike, suitable for those with moderate fitness. There are a total of nine levels to cross to reach the summit of Mt. Tabur, and you'll find steep climbs, cliffs, and sharp surfaces to traverse on foot. Upon reaching the top, you will be rewarded with stunning views, including Kuala Lumpur and Klang Gates Quartz Ridge.

Take a breather for morning tea, then begin the descent with your guide and return to the starting point of your hike after roughly 3 hours. From here, you will be taken back to your hotel in KL.

Note: it is advisable to wear hiking shoes with a good grip, appropriate trekking clothes that are comfortable to move in, spare clothes, and a gym towel.
