Rice Fields and Fireflies Tour Including Lunch and Dinner from Kuala Lumpur

Starting out from your hotel in the morning, depart Kuala Lumpur for a 1.5-hour drive through the countryside. You'll pass by a palm oil plantation and jungle landscape, then stop at a Chinese temple and the 'Wishing Tree' along the way.

After another stop at Redang Beach your guide takes you to the fishing village of Sekinchan for a fresh seafood lunch. Then continue on to the Sekinchan rice fields where, depending on the time of year, the colors vary from planting to harvesting season. Learn about the history of this major rice-producing region at the local museum.

On your way out of Sekinchan you'll visit Nan Tian Temple and Melawati Hill, a former fort with an antique cannon facing the Straits of Malacca. While here, it is likely you will encounter the local inhabitants: the silvered leaf monkeys.
