All the content of the Tea Ceremony will be explained in English or Japanese and will last around 40~90 minutes(it changes according to number of the guests) in a decorated room with Japanese traditional flower arrangement [Ikebana] and Japanese traditional style hanging scroll. This is a once in a lifetime event to experience an activity that has been practiced for hundreds of years among Japanese people.Tea Ceremony has its origin in China. In about 9th century some of Japanese Buddist monks went to China in order to study Buddhism. Zen, one of the sects of Buddhism, had spread to China from India earlier and was brought to Japan by those monks and also spread through Japan.
After that, in Azuchi-Momoyama period (in 16th century), Sen-no-Rikyu, a famous tea master, pursued the spirit of Sado and perfected it. This became the origin of modern Sado.
There is a few hundred Tea Ceremony schools in Japan now,the way of it is different little by little,one by one.You can watch the way of [Omotesenke](the oldest style in Tea Ceremony) style in this class.You can learn about Japanese tradition and Tea Ceremony deeply with licenced professional teacher.
