Learn Japanese guitar "Shamisen"

You will be able to play the Japanes traditional insttrument ‛Shamisen′ in a one hour lesson.
Language used is English or Japanese.

This experience can enjoy traditional music, culture and architecture at the same time. Shamisen is a Japanese traditional instrument that resembles a guitar. The sounds play by the three strings are very beautiful and cool. It's a bit difficult, but everyone will surely feel fun.

I will teach you how to play a Syamisen. First of all, i teach it from the basics, even a beginner is fine. We will practice the traditional Japanese song. Finally, you play the Shamisen duo with me. If you can play it well, you can do an ensemble of your shamisen and my koto. Let's try it!

The venue is a traditional house in Kyoto, built 90 years ago, where you can see a beautiful view of Nijo Castle from the window.

After the experience, it is tea time with green tea and traditional sweets. While enjoying drinking tea, you can enjoy traditional Japanese manners.

You can feel real Kyoto through this experience.
