About this activity

Enjoy a private 8 or 10-hour tour in a private vehicle with your English or Chinese speaking driver departing from your hotel in Kyoto at 9 a.m. Your private driver will consult with you regarding your preferred itinerary to select the best route for the day. See the historical side of Japan such as temples, shrines and an old traditional town. You may choose from the list of available sites listed in itinerary section or select the recommended route below. Please note that depending on the places you would like to visit, you might not be able to cover all of Osaka, Kyoto and Nara during your trip.

Recommended Route (Visit 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites)

Nijo Castle - Visit the castle for around 50 minutes.
Kinkaku-ji Temple - Visit the Golden Pavilion, one of the most famous temples in Kyoto, for about 50 minutes.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple - Stroll around and have lunch at Kiyomizu-dera Temple area independently for approximately 80 minutes in total.
Gion - Enjoy shopping at Kyoto's most popular geisha district with a lot of shops, for around 30 minutes.
Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine - Have about 50 minutes to take photos at the most impressive shrine famous for its unique 1000 red torii gates.

After 8 or 10 hours, you will be driven back to your Kyoto hotel.

For the extension of the charter time, an additional fee is necessary. Please pay the fee to the driver on the spot.
Delays, shortenings of the tour or omissions may be made to the itinerary due to traffic, weather or other circumstances that are beyond the control of the tour operator are not subject to refund
If the tour operator has to cancel the tour because of a typhoon, heavy snow or other circumstances beyond their control, this will be decided by 3pm the day before tour departure; you will be informed by e-mail and offered a new departure date or receive full refund
Vehicles are collapsible wheelchair accessible, however the driver is unable to assist passenger boarding and disembarking. Wheelchair passengers must have a companion able to assist. (Please write in the “Special Requirements” section at the time of booking if you travel with a passenger using a wheelchair.)
For a group up to 5 people, a mid-size passenger car (Toyota Alphard or a similar class vehicle) will be arranged. Its maximum capacity is 3 people/3 large suitcases or 5 people/2 large suitcases
For a group up to 9 people, a minivan (Toyota Hiace or the same class car) will be arranged. Its maximum capacity is 9 people/5 large suitcases
