Sake Brewery Tour

• Be met by a host who runs the brewery to learn what sake is to the Japanese and how it’s brewed. (20 min.)
• Watch a video clip that shows how sake is brewed in a traditional way. (15 min.)
• Go inside the production site to learn how sake is made in a modern way in this facility. (60 min.)
• Taste sake on different conditions in terms of rice polishing ratio, temperature, aging period and containers. (30 min.)
• You can buy a bottle of sake brewed at the factory on your way out. (10min.)
Important note
・For a tour during a sake making season (September ~ May), please avoid the following activities because they would disrupt the fermentation taking place in the factory.
• eating natto (sticky fermented soybeans) and yogurt from the day before the tour
• wearing strong perfume on the day of the tour
• wearing high heels for a safety reason
・We highly recommend that you bring a jacket or some sort to put on even on a hot day as the brewery is always kept cool.
