Stop At: Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum, 247 Minamihama-cho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto 612-8045 Kyoto Prefecture

We'll get acquainted with our sketchbook materials by painting the iconic architecture of the old Gekkeikan sake brewery as we relax by the scenic canal. (Exterior only, we will not enter the buildings)

We'll walk this scenic street lined with old and new sake breweries on our way to our next destination.

We'll pass through this bustling shopping arcade, formerly the main approach to an old castle. This is the perfect chance to snap a few pictures for sketching later!

Stop At: Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, 68 Fukakusa Yabunouchicho, Fushimi, Kyoto 612-0882 Kyoto Prefecture

While this gorgeous shrine is very popular with tourists for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, we'll get off the beaten track a bit with a stop in a bamboo grove to paint in addition to sketching the iconic torii gate tunnels.
